  1. I was born and raised on Wilson Avenue near the new high school. The football field was
only a stones throw from our home. We played baseball on Gilpen Field which is the site
of the current Kittanning High School and Lemmon Way which was another baseball field
near the Kittanning Brick Company in upper Wick City. I played for a team by the name of Davis Motors in the early 1950’s

    1. Not sure why you posted this comment here on an administration post Susan and Robert, but you may want to look through the site and post it on another article where you may get better responses.

    1. Thanks for the interest in our site. I mostly write the articles but I believe on the main page there is a link that will let you join the blog and receive notices when a new one appears. I recently saw a family photo album of the McNees family at the Armstrong County Historical Society. Anything I can help with let me know.

    1. We are still running although not adding new content frequently.

The notifications app we were using is disabled. It was taken over by another company, then there were technical difficulties.

      1. Ok. Thank you for your reply Kathy.
My maiden name is Beth Lindeman. I happen to have some great phots taken on July 19, 1919 of downtown Kittanning celebrating the return of Soldiers and Sailors from the War. If you are ever interested, please let me know.
        Happy Memorial Day!
